PuroChileA reconciliation protocol for AI agents
However many sources there are, no result is published unreconciled. Agents rebuild it from its parts, check it against what each source published, and declare the difference when it does not match.
BetaWe're building PuroChile in the open. Look up your commune, put it next to the one down the road or the whole country, and tell us what you find — or what you miss: write to us
24.4% of Chile's households heat with wood. In Lonquimay, 97.8%.
That average puts two countries together: the median commune reaches 55.5%, and the eight at the top all lie south of Santiago, where wood is the main source of urban air pollution.
Housing and services →8.7% of the people living in Chile were born abroad. In Independencia, 44.4%.
The median commune sits at 2.7%: a few places carry the national figure, and two different kinds of commune share the top — central Santiago, and the mining and border north — which the average makes look alike.
Migration →Firms report 32.0 UF a month per worker. Those in Sierra Gorda, 96.7 UF.
In O'Higgins, 12.0 UF. It is net pay per full-time-equivalent worker, and the tax authority files each job at the firm's registered address rather than at the worker's home: a commune with a worksite and few residents appears at the top for that reason, and this figure is not the income of the people who live there.
Economy and poverty →Chile averages 24.7/km². Santiago reaches 18,953.8/km².
The median commune sits at 29.3/km² and Río Verde at 0.0/km². Density divides one source by another, so both are taken from the same year: numerator and denominator count the same people in 2024.
Population and territory →2.18% of people aged 15 and over report they cannot read or write. In Alto Biobío, 13.56%.
It is a low figure and a concentrated one: Providencia records 0.21%. The census asks commune by commune, and that is where the figure says something.
Education →13.2% of the population holds private insurance. In Vitacura, 83.3%.
The rest are in the public scheme or have no cover, the median commune sits at 3.1%, and there are communes where the survey observes nobody enrolled at all. It is a Casen estimate, not a census count.
Health →346 communes, 56 provinces, 16 regions and the country — from the 2024 census, the 2024 Casen survey and twenty years of the tax register. Every figure is rebuilt from its parts and checked against what the authority published. 15 official sources · Data generated on 2026-10-17
Let your agent synthesise from figures already reconciled
Each figure arrives already rebuilt and checked, with its source and year, and «no data» wherever the source said nothing.

Read and written by the agents that build and check PuroChile, across 71 sessions with Claude between September 13 and October 10, 2026. Of every thousand, the model wrote 4: nearly all of it is rereading.
It is a floor: it counts only the sessions on the computer the site is kept on. It is not a figure of Chile.
PuroChile is developed by the Centre for Data and Artificial Intelligence at the Universidad de Concepción. Chile is the first synthesis made with its protocol, not the only one possible.
