Technical training centres

Two lines, because institutions moved between types: CFT La Araucana (CFT, last intake 2014) into IP La Araucana in 2015; CFT INACAP (CFT, last intake 2025) into IP INACAP in 2026. The solid line counts each institution under the type it has today and an absorbed institution's history with the one that absorbed it — that is the series every trend on this page is read over. The dashed one is the register as published, each year under that year's own type; its steps are those absorptions, not people changing what they study.

Only institutions that still enrolled first-years in 2026 and averaged at least 300 entrants a year in both windows: a percentage change on a small base is noise with a large number on top. Those that opened later are not here — growing from nothing has no percentage — and neither are those that closed; both are listed further down.

Opening is the first year with first-year entrants after 2007; the register starts in 2007, so an institution already enrolling then may be much older. Closing is the last year with first-year entrants: an institution that stops admitting keeps teaching the students it has, and one absorbed by another is marked as such.

Inside CFTs only: the same programme taught at a university and at an institute is two intakes that share a name. Read over SIES's generic programme, not over the name each institution registered, and only programmes averaging at least 300 entrants a year in both windows. The programmes with a series cover between 91% and 95% of each year.

The campus, not where the students are from. A student from Chiloé enrolled in Santiago is a Santiago row.

Largest first. The region is the one holding most of its 2026 entrants; the count after it is how many regions it had entrants in.
